Approval of Minutes
of April 17, 2009 Senate Executive Committee Meeting
Approval of Minutes
of May 1, 2009 Senate Regular Meeting [Note: The Executive Committee approves
the last 2008-2009 Senate Minutes on behalf of the Senate because that
Senate does not meet again.]
- Request to extend terms of incumbent PTL and Annual-appointee
Faculty Senators until the USGC recommendation to change those terms
permanently to two-years is acted upon by the Senate in November.
- Change in Executive Committee membership: Paul Barnett, who was
elected Camden Student Member of the Executive Committee in May,
resigned the position shortly after the election. Barnett was the sole
nominee for the position. He has requested that he be allowed to
relinquish his position to Daniel McArdle, the 2008-09 incumbent.
Senator McArdle has agreed to serve in the position next year.
- Senator Nat Schaffner asks to be considered for appointment as
parliamentarian for the 2009-10 Senate. Incumbent Parliamentarian Ryan
Cooke endorses the appointment.
4. Standing Committees
Selection/Nomination of Standing Committee Chairs [Committee
rosters for 2008-09 are online, and will be distributed in hardcopy at
the meeting. Chairs will be nominated or assigned at this meeting.
Committee rosters for 2009-10 will be completed over the summer.]
Proposed Charge to ASRAC to Replace Charge S-0809, on
Implementation of Interim Academic Integrity Policy, submitted by
Martha Cotter: "Development of the Academic Integrity Policy:
Monitor the progress of efforts to develop a new academic integrity
policy. Provide ongoing input to the university-wide Academic Integrity
Review/Continuation of Current
Pending Charges [Note: All charges that displayed past-due deadlines have been changed to October or November 2009.]
