ALSO ATTENDING: R. Boikess (BOT Faculty Representative), B. Fedorko (BOT Undergraduate Student Representative), V. Hewitt (University Senate Executive Secretary), H. Pierce (BOG Faculty Representative), S. Searcy (BOG Student Representative), M. Smith (University Senate Administrative Assistant)

The special meeting of the University Senate Executive Committee was held on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. remotely via Zoom.

Call to Order – Adrienne Simonds, Senate Chair

Chair Simonds called the May 10, 2024 Senate Executive Committee meeting to order at 2:00 p.m.

Discussion of Protocols for Senate Email List

The Executive Committee voted to reopen the Senate listserv. The Executive Committee voted to have the Chair ask senators to be mindful of the University code of conduct in listserv communications.

A motion was made to create an ad hoc committee on Senate Communications with the charge:

An ad committee will be created with broad representation to evaluate procedures to regulate use of the Senate listserv.

The motion was adopted.

Adjournment

The Executive Committee adjourned at 3:05 p.m.
